In regards to tiebreakers in the NFC for playoff seeding, is it the AMOUNT of wins in the conference or the overall win percentage in games vs. conference opponents? Just asking because lets say a team has a 7-3 conference record, but theres another team who is 6-1 in the conference.

Which one gets the nod in this crucial tie breaking scenario?

Every team in the conference has the same number of conference games, so percentage at the end of the regular season is mute. It's wins and losses in the conference.

It's win percentage. It becomes relevant if there are ties, but kfran is correct, normally you can just glance at the wins and see since everyone has the same number of conference games.

As far as "right now" it's meaningless. You can use whatever tiebreakers you want to use I guess. The NFL doesn't apply any tie breakers during a season.

Primary tie-breakers
For Division ties:
1. Head-to-head
2. Best PCT in games within division
3. Best PCT in common games

For Wild-Card ties (2 Clubs):
1. Head-to-head
2. Best PCT in games within conference
3. Best PCT in common games, min. of four

It actually might become relevant in the years the season is shortened for some reason and games have be cancelled, like what happened in '83 and '87. Anyone know where you can find a copy of hte CBA?
