N/S Question - Why would anyone want to win the NFC East (1 Viewer)

It is likely that a 5 or 6 win team will win the NFC East. Won't whoever wins get a low draft pick and a number 1 schedule next year with that crappy record. They certainly wont get past the first round so why would you want to win the division. Maybe that's why they are all ties at 3 wins.
 
Same reason Seattle wanted to win the NFC West in 2010

You are correct about the draft pick.

You could conceivably have a team finish 5-11 in that division and end up with the 19th pick in the draft (vs picking in the top 6-8). Then if by some miracle they win their wildcard round, they are picking 25th.
 
IMO, you want to get the division title and the playoff experience. As a head coach, you want that to protect your job.
