I know that the Superbowl is more than just a football game for most fans. Even when their favorite team has long since been eliminated from contention, it has been nothing short of a tradition for most people to invite a house full of friends over to watch the big game, complete with an overflowing smörgåsbord of tasty foods and beverages.
For the majority, this is as close as they will ever get to being present for any Superbowl, anywhere.

But now we're talking about the possibility that our own beloved team may be a favorite to be an actual participant in that coveted contest.
That being said, I'm certain that all who reasonable could even consider being in Miami for the game will surely find a way to be 'in that number'...

However, that would only a dream for the vast majority of Saints fandom who have been bleeding black & gold for this franchise.

Yet I don't see it beyond the realm of possibility that the city/state could make the Superdome available with a giant TV screen to allow the faithful masses to enjoy the moment together. No doubt it would be an incredible event! I can hardly imagine the collective flow of tears before, during after... win or lose.

Of course all of this is just speculation... we still have yet to be guaranteed even a playoff game... but I just thought I'd ask...

If the Saints were to play their way all the way to Miami, would you (short of being able to scare up some SB tickets yourself) make your way to the Superdome for what may become the party to end all parties, and cheer your team during the network broadcast along with a Dome full of loyal Saints supporters?

Does anyone know what the possibility/likelihood of such a thing becoming a reality if the Saints go all the way?

I've already priced the trip to NO for Superbowl weekend. Miami is not an option for me but I figure NO will be rockin'. They get to the game, I'll make the trip. Anybody else?

I already priced the tickets. Since I have a wife and 4 teenage kids--all of which are HUGE Saints fans--It's out of the question financially. There will definitely be a gigantic party, though.

In fact, any Saints fans in the Raleigh, NC area, feel free to PM me. You are invited over for NFC championship, the Superbowl, and any other game the Saints are in. I've got a 62-inch hi-def, so it's gonna be on!!

I'd rather invest in a HD TV and enjoy thge game on TV. A friend of mine went to the Superbowl when it was in N.O. with the Patriots, and he said it was nothing like a normal game. Very reserved and no feeling of true fans for any one team. So if that is the case, I'd rather be with my friends and family aqnd spend the money on a nice HD Tv I can use for years and enjoy watching every Saints game.

I alreayd have 2 hdtv so I am going to the game. we heard what a few thousand saints fans can do on tv the other night/

I'd Pawn half my Living room to go if i have too.. So i guess thats a yes.

While I believe the big screen showing of the Superbowl is 'do-able', I truly wonder if the city, state and Superdome management would even allow such a thing during the Superbowl after all they have been through in renovating the Dome and the fear of some post game fallout.

But if our boys make it to Miami, it would be great if they would! :9:

IF the Saints make the big game.... I would go to Miami just to tailgate and watch the game on a partable tv outside the stadium... I am trying to find out how you get SB tickets now... If reasonable, I would buy them through a Season ticket holder.

best way to get super bowl tix is thru the NFL special events dept...they are on-site in the city before xmas. you know the axiom "six degrees of separation"...you have to know someone who knows someone, etc., but the tickets are there and there are plenty of them. the last time the SB was in NO the NFL offices housed at my hotel, and we probably bought & distributed a thousand tickets between new years and the game
