I know it's the 1st game and that we went against a pretty good defense, but is the offensive line a potential area of concern? I know we drafted Ruiz to be the Center, but it appears he'll be playing Guard instead.

I have a feeling that other teams will try to blitz us up the middle and throw Brees off if that's an area we cannot fix. We allowed Warford (a pro-bowler) to walk, and I hope we made the right decision.

Too early to tell, really. I'm willing to chalk this up as a rusty week 1 performance with no preseason and down a starter. We have yet to see Ruiz in live action. Potential area of concern, yes.. but on paper, we should be fine.

Correct. Ruiz is unknown at this point, even though he was a 1st round draft choice. I guess it's a wait and see.

Warford was a pro bowler in name only. He was heavy and the staff didn't appear to high on him. Looks like no one else in the league thought he was worth the money either as he remained unsigned before ultimately deciding to get some free money and opt out.

He's a decent, not great G.

Now, you could argue that he was better than Peat, and that may be true. Peat has higher upside though and is more versatile since he can backup Armstead.

McCoy was inconsistent yesterday.

We miss Mark Ingram. He was outstanding at picking up blitzes, and it looked like Alvin really struggled yesterday in that regard.

Game one. Definitely saw several communication issues in pass pro. However Bucs used the lack of practice time to good effect and blitz'd a lot.
A lot of the negative plays were a result of playcalling and not the line blocking IMO.

Ruiz didn’t play yesterday, so we really don’t know. The OL didn’t play as bad as it seemed. Easton was probably the weakest link, but I don’t think he played bad. Bowles likes to blitz, so you combine rust, with a couple minor OL leaks, and a couple RB mis-read on blitz pick-ups and you have what we saw yesterday. Yet we still found a way to win against a very good defense. I think we will be one of the better OLs overall this season.

I saw a few missed assignments yesterday from Peat and also Kamara when the defense blitzed. The Buccaneers defense is really good and play fast in open spaces. Their linebackers are consistent with hard hits also. Ramczyk and Armstead picked up the slack yesterday during a few miscues but the other lineman need to play more consistent going further into the season.

This was game 1 for the offensive line and we were missing Ruiz who is suppose to start. Gotta wait till week 3-4 to see how we really look. Week 1-2 we will still be getting in sync since no preseason games.

I think we have a great line. They played a tough defense that brought a lot of pressure. They will continue to get better. I liked Easton. He had some nice moments.

Kamara gotta take a break from counting all those bills so he count those rushing defenders! Jk, he usually doesn’t blow those blocking assignments like the one yesterday. Lots of rust on display yesterday. I’m reserving real judgement for week 4.

AK is usually very good at picking up the right defensive player blitzing. Yesterday, however, as noted I saw him take the wrong guy on more than one occasion. I'll attribute that to lack of offensive cohesiveness due to short prep time as he has proven to be excellent at keeping Drew on his feet. Next week should tell us alot!
