There isnt a quarterback IN THE LEAGUE who could win the way the Saints played today. Not one. Period.

He was moved off his mark all day. He had a few batted down. He hesitated too much on several throws. Credit the Lions for a great game, but Drew certainly played into their plan. He deserves a large part of the blame in this one.

He was average today. You guys need to go watch an actual bad qb. You are spoiled as hell.

Yep. Even Breesus can make mistakes.

Bad game all around.

I'm sure if you asked him he'd admit he didn't play well. I'm not saying he's not the only reason we lost, but he had a bad game. Like CW said, give credit to the Lions who played very well, but the Saints just never played well at all today.

He was really really bad today. He brought nothing today. It's not a crime to admit that. It happens. Sad that it happened when we really needed a win but it happened.

His passes were off the mark. Underthrows aplenty and just plain bad overall. Our defense was gassed because the offense couldn't sustain drives.

It's the NFL.

Every QB is going to have an off game every now and then. This is why you can't start 0-3 and leave yourself no room for error.

He didnt have time to throw, and when he did everone was covered. Oline needs to man up and wrs need to get separation or Brees will end up like Rodgers.

This loss goes to the entire team, coaching, offense, defense and special teams. Brees contributed to this loss and it was one of his worse games in a long time so he deserves his share of the blame for this pitiful performance by the entire team. It is very discouraging but we are seeing dejavu once again this season - A team that teases but cannot dig itself out of the early season hole it put itself in. Another wasted year and one more lost year for Drew, who has not may left!

I haven't seen such an awful game since last year when they played the Texans..

The way we lost to Denver (being in a good position record wise) was a bad omen too. We were in a position to be able to afford to lose this game to the Lions.

It's not just the 0-3 start, it's the games that are lost in the most uniquely unconscionable ways that leave us no room for error.

He wasn't average for Drew Brees. He was bad for Drew Brees. And it's OK. He was still better than Blake Bortles.

Having a bad game doesn't make him a bad player, or even an average one. He's still great. But whether it was his fault or a huge credit to the Lions defense, he had a bad game. Everyone has them.

Dude, I love Brees, but 3 interceptions is not average. You are spoiled to the point that you can't take off the goggles and see the truth. Brees had a bad to LESS-than-average day. 3 picks is not a good day and it's not an average day for a qb.
