I don't disagree, but his contract is absurdly large. I assume you agree that would have to be reworked to get him on the team. We may not have a ton invested in the WR position right now but overall cap space is still limited.

You’re not getting him for a 4th if they have to eat money. We will have to pay a 2nd or 3rd at best for them to eat a huge portion of his salary. Teams all around the league would be throwing 4th rounders for Adams on the contract he is on currently, if you want him while having them eat money you have to make it worthwhile.

We'll see, but we shouldn't be giving up 2nd and 3rd round picks right now. I mean, watching the offense fall off a cliff after McCoy went out and the OL struggling since makes that clear.

If the Saints took a 3rd round flier on him, and don’t change his contract, and he walks again in 2025 free agency for a big contract elsewhere, I believe the Saints could get a 3rd Round comp pick for him.
That would make him a 1 year rental for his $$$$ only.

If his contract isn't changed he wouldn't become a free agent in 2025. If the Saints cut him, there wouldn't be a comp pick.

Two weeks ago I was against this trade. Now I’m all for it. We need a third option and someone to get attention of defenses besides are top 2 guys. Also, rashid and Olave missed two TDs on difficult passes last week but catchable.
