Because of the NFL Players Bargaining Agreement, no player can negotiate a contract with the same team twice in a calendar year. Moss was traded to New England at the end of April last year which is technically a contract change. To stay with the Patriots, he has to wait until April 28th.. then he can sign a new contract. Sure, he can shop himself around until then, but Clayton says he wants to stay where he is. I guess we'll see.

I don't think that is correct. You have to wait until the start of the LEAGUE YEAR, not exactly one year later. March is the start of the league year but since it's a leap year it's Feb 29th this year. So he can renegotiate a contract with anybody anytime he wants.

Okay, so they didn't sing it (but they should when they have their Mutual Admiration Society meetings) but I just don't know how Brady's going to be able to stay with Moss if he wants the payday and the Patriots don't want to pay. Randy's going to want and expect someone to show him the money. Not that he's not worth it but he's a fair weather player and I just don't see him being a fit with the Saints.

I don't see it happening but it sure is fun to think about. I have never been a Moss fan but he would be scary in the Black and Gold. Would you pay him $7 to $10 million. That is what it will take.
