Thats what makes me believe that Jameis will do well for the next 3-4 game stretch. Doesn’t have to overdo anything but take what’s there during games for a short time until Carr’s back.

Utilize AK, Thomas and the TEs in the short-mid range and let that open up the field for Olave and Sheed. Every play doesn’t have to be a big yardage target.

Nah, Jameis would have to be flawless in passer rating and converting most drives into TDs for him remaining the starter to be a thought. We aren’t sitting a 40M QB on the bench.

Carr hasn’t played poorly for his job to be questioned. He can work on getting the ball out quicker sometimes, but he’s been accurate and makes the throws. Just need more TDs and that’s a variety of factors with run game, blocking and playcalling. He moves the ball down the field at ease when he has average protection.

There is a reason why DA and Loomis moved heaven and hell to find another QB other than Jameis. Dude holds on the ball for an eternity. Hopefully with poor O.line play, Carmichael starts running screens, quick outs and slants, draw plays. Every single coordinator is gonna dial up pressure to test the putrid O.line

Week 6 return vs Houston’s probably the earliest he’s looking at. 4 weeks overall is ok based on the upcoming matchups

I noticed that too like it was an emphasis in Winston’s mind to get Thomas the ball. It seems Winston’s first two reads are Thomas and Olave, while Carr’s is Olave then Thomas slightly above Shaheed.

I have no problem with Carr targeting Olave and Sheed more. Both are better after the catch. Thomas is a great player and brings a lot to the table, but he just doesn’t get the separation like he used to. He’s also immediately down every time he catches the ball it seems. We do need to go to mike more in the redzone though. We did miss him a few times
