So I'm just kinda curious where people fall in regards with how comfortable they are with our various QBs. So using Brees as a benchmark, I would rate them as the following (again, this is NOT based on talent, their potential, etc....just how comfortable you feel with them running our offense):

Brees: 10 (no explanation needed)
Carr: 8 (I rated him this because I think his pocket presence needs a little work, and he just hasn't been here long enough to give a fair assessment)
Winston: 5 (lacks pocket presence, cracks under pressure, turns the balls over....he has been here long enough now to give a fair assessment)
Hill: 5 (also lacks pocket presence and tends to turn the ball over as well but he is fun to watch. However, to me is not full-time starting QB material)
Haener: 4 (he's a rookie but I liked what I saw in preseason. We will see how he pans out after some more time in the system)

What say you?

Carr 6- holds the ball too long. Hasnt looked great in first 3 games. Haener- good in one game and training camp practice. Very photogenic.

So let me get this straight, although Carr has played the most games at QB out of anyone on our current roster, his pocket presence needs a little work while the others lack pocket presence? Honestly, I beginning to wonder if people actually know what pocket awareness actually is.

Yeah I had Carr at a 7.5 originally but I meant how comfortable I was with him at QB

I wouldn't rate Carr as high as an 8. I would put him above Winston & Hill, but not as high as 8. I might go a bit lower on Haener as well (for now). I'm a bit higher on Winston as a QB1 over Hill but you're correct that they're both deeply flawed in that role. My fear is unless our OL can at least elevate their play to "mediocre" or Pete starts adjusting playcalls to acknowledge the fact our OL is terrible, all the QB talk is just academic. Jameis and Taysom both have injury histories at this point and I don't think either would survive a beating for long (yeah, Taysom's a good runner, but he's not shifty in the pocket like Russell Wilson in his prime was, he's an excellent downhill runner who embraces contact).

About the same
Brees infinity
Carr 6 or 7
Taysom 5
Jameis 4
Haener over Brook but otherwise no clue

If we had an o-line all the numbers go up a point or 2.
Taysom can work with a bad line. Jameis with a good line can make the throws so it’s an incomplete right now. This line is one of the worst we have had in 2 decades. We have been pretty fortunate to have had good lines for a long time except for short periods.
