Ravens Release Veteran DL Calais Campbell

The Ravens reportedly save about $7 million in cap space by releasing veteran Calais Campbell, but Eric DeCosta isn’t closing the door on a return.

He's played 3-4DE, and 4-3 DE / DT. Might be an interesting guy to bring in to play run downs DE and interior DT. Would be another good mentor to a younger Defensive Lineman.

Despite the fact he’ll only be 37 at the start of the season, he was slightly more productive than Onyemata last year while playing ~20% less snaps…

Campbell (550 snaps): 5.5 sacks, 4 TFL, 15 pressures, 14 QB hits

Onyemata (681 snaps): 5.0 sacks, 5 TFL, 13 pressures, 11 QB hits
