I think it was a random mention of us almost getting Arian Foster as a UDFA before the Texans nabbed him because he thought he'd have a better shot or a chance at more carries. It got me to thinking about when our last 300 carry back was (and it was Deuce in 2003) and how relatively rare they've been for the Saints (Rogers' rookie season, Deuce 3 times and Williams once). Anyway, I wound up looking up how many all the teams have had, and figured I'd post the numbers. The most surprising for me was that Minnesota has only 4 despite how long Peterson's been there (he has 3 of the 4 though). Turns out at 5 we're in a clump at the bottom of the middle.

I'm pretty sure it'll be a few years at least before we have another.

A comparison to the success of each rb with 300 carries vs a year when one didn't get 300 carries would be interesting. Like overall ypc that year

Back in the early 80s the Buccs had a running back called James Wilder who they used to give about 300 carriers a game ;). They couldn't pass and they couldn't block much so the poor guy was like a nail constantly being hit by a hammer. He must watch the modern game and think he was born 30 years too early!

hmm, carolina only 2? guess cause they give about 180 ea to 2 dif backs
