A few season records that I don't see out of the realm of possibility

Passing Yds - 5,084 Dan Marino, Miami, 1984

Passing TDs - 50 Tom Brady, New England, 2007

Team Points - 589 New England, 2007

First Downs - 398 Kansas City, 2004

It's early I know, but with two games scoring 40+ I couldn't help but think it.

The Marino mark won't happen, IMO. Brees should not have too many 400+ yard games this year like last. I say this b/c our D should not get us 2+ scores behind this year too often and Brees won't be forced into throwing constantly like last year. Plus our running game is much improved.

I can see him challenging for the TD mark, and I can see us making a run for the most points in a season. However, we do play some very tough D's this year. But we already dismantled one of the best yesterday, so who knows.

He doesn't have to throw for 400 except to cancel out a 200 yard game. averaging 300 would put him at 4800 and the lagniappe yards over that 300 would get there.. I don't think he'll do it. but I don't think he has any less of a chance than he did last year.

Brady, Marino and Warner passed for over 4800 yards in seasons in which the teams were the best in the NFL.

Brees has over 210 yards in the 1st half in both games this season.
