Why wouldn't the coaches and staff be paid for the trip?

I hope the Saints do the same for our stolen home game in London next year

I don't see them not boarding that plane. However, if the league doesn't pony up the 40k for the staff, then would the players pick up that tab?

Oh yeah they gotta board the plane.. too much on the line for this.

However they've created enough noise to likely force the hand of the MLB to live up to their end of the initial agreement.

MLB misunderstood what the MLBPA committee had stated? That's rich.

"Oh? You want everyone that goes to Japan to be paid."

Well DUH! The coaches actually have a paid job. The trainers have a paid job. Why wouldn't they want to be paid? It's still doing your job whether you're in KC or Japan.

I agree with what the players did. Good for them.
