Snyder has lost it....The Wizard of Id is on the loose...
"Release the Hounds"

"Do you see this sign? I fished this sign out of a garbage can outside FedEx Field. It was in the garbage can because there's a new policy that says no signs of any sort are permitted inside the stadium. Even signs sending best wishes to husbands in Afghanistan."

Now it's Liz Angevine, who brought a "LET OVECHKIN CALL THE PLAYS" sign, e-mailing me this story about how a security guard snatched the sign out of her hands and threw it on the ground. Liz writes:
"When I told her that I wanted to keep my sign and run it back to my car, she stepped on my sign and ripped it apart!!! I could NOT believe it. I'm still in shock."

yet another reason it sucks to be a redskins fan, I guess...

That Snyder loser needs to take it out on his "coaching staff" not the fans!!!

Let's see now:

- Snyder hires the worst possible candidate to coach is billion dollar payroll of a team
- Snyder starts suing previous season ticket holders for their inability to pay for tickets
- Snyder fields a team that is now 2-5....and is 2-2 against winless teams
- Snyder bans any and all signs
- Players are even stating that less and less fans are showing up to the games

Yep, that sounds like the perfect recipe for the East Coast Raiders. Is he trying to out do Davis or is he just too stupid to learn from someone else's mistakes????? He's failed miserably at his attempt to buy a SB. Now, he's taking it out on the fans because they don't want to pay to see a less than average product? Business 101 Snyder....go back to school and learn something new. Clearly, what you're doing isn't working and we all know the definition of insanity:angryrazz:

Never pretty so see a franchise (not just a team, but the entire corporate entity) in freefall.

did anyone notice during the MNF broadcast that the cameras went out of their way to avoid showing the upper decks, even on punts, they wouldn't raise the camera and ball would move out of the shot at its apex.

the few times we did get a look at the rafters, it actually look the lighting in the stadium was turned because the upper level look really really dark.

Man, that is really sad because the only leverage those fans really have is to stop going to the games entirely and who really wants to boycott their home team? This makes me really appreciate Benson and how he seems to have the community's best interest at heart when it comes to the Saints. I'm sure there are those out there who have a gripe with Benson about something (there always are) but articles like this remind us that it could be a whole lot worse. Its one thing to have idiot players, or coaches or GMs, because you can always get rid of them and get someone new. But its something ENTIREY different to have an idiot owner! I really feel for these Redskins fans.

Even though Snyder is a tool and running his team into the ground, Washington has some of the biggest fairweather fans that I've ever seen. When the skins are doing well, they're out in full force acting like they've been there the whole time, but when the team starts losing they crawl back under their rock and say they don't really follow football. It makes me sick. But they do have a lot of diehards.

Back in '00 I used to go to a sports bar in Lake Ridge, Va called Brittany's to watch the games (Our playoff season). The place was filled with Deadskin's fans. This was the year they opened 0-8. By week 4 it was just me and the Steeler's fans that took over the place.

It is sad for a franchise with a history of great players and great teams. Snyder get a clue, YOU are the problem, not Zorn, not the players, not the GM.....and damn sure not the loyal ticket buying fans!!
Times are not good for any of the sports franchises in the DC area.

The Caps are doing real well and almost selling out every game (their last game was at 97%).

I confess that I've become a fairweather Caps fan.:hihi:

Danny Dictator strikes again...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcs...s_at.html#more

"At half time, I went down to the concessions area to get a beer and a dog. Of course, the crowd was once again getting restless at the lack of productivity we were seeing on the field. Standing two rows away from me in line, were two middle aged men. One wore a T-shirt that read "Fire Snyder", the other's said "Fire Vinny". It wasn't long after standing there that the men were surrounded by close to a dozen people wearing yellow security jackets. The conversation between them and the two men escalated quickly as security asked the men to remove their shirts. Of course the men refused, and one stated that he had been a season ticket holder for 26 years. The conversation continued to get heated and before you knew it 6 or 7 armed security officers formed a circle around the layer of yellowed jacketed security officers. "Sir, you're about to lose those season tickets if you don't take off that shirt" is what he was told. I don't know what got into me but I had seen enough and had to speak up. This was beyond absurd! I cut across a crowd of people, entering the circle of security.... I said " these guys should be able to wear whatever they want! What the hell is going on? What the hell is this? Communist Russia??? ". I was quickly greeted with a stern warning to not interfere and a shove in the chest that sent me back a few feet. A few minutes later, the men were escorted out of the area and a security woman approached me with an explanation about their actions. "Look, I know what you're saying, and I can't say that I don't agree with you, but I'm a part-time teacher and this job is my Holiday money"...."upper management told us to come up here and ask these men to remove their shirts and I can't lose my job, so I'm doing it."

I decided then and there that I would NEVER again set foot in Fed Ex Stadium as long as Dan Snyder was the owner. The way I saw people being treated for voicing their opinions on this night embarrassed me as a Redskin fan, a Washingtonian, and as an American. These sort of totalitarian strong arm tactics are downright shameful and I needed to let others know about it. I hope you share this story with your audience."

A deeply embarrassed Redskins fan

If this is true, it's pathetic
