The "truth" of the matter—which is murkier than a Wire episode, may never be exposed, regardless of how Lake's lawsuit plays out. Which means that an ever-discerning public, not some San Diego District Court, may ultimately decide Bush's true fate.

I could care less if any of that stuff is true. If they strip him of his Heisman, if that AP trophy goes where it belongs...in BR, whatever! I just want him to be ready and able to prove his on-field detractors wrong and be the best RB on this team.

A college athlete accepting money and favors. Never heard of that before. If it happened to an SEC school they would already be talking about the death penalty. Since it's USC, it will play out like the Ohio St/Maurice C. situation. They'll get tapped lightly upon the wrist.
