You don't cut them June 1st. You cut them now and designate them a June 1st cut which we can now do thanks to the new CBA. I'm just unsure if we get 2 or 1 of them.

Cut Harper and Smith and designate them June 1st cuts. Vilma takes a pay cut for the amount it would have cost us to cut him. Herring straight up cut.

Are you sure? We get the cap benefit of a June 1 cut by cutting them now? Seems odd. I did not recall that from the new CBA, but who knows (it would not be the first unusual thing about the CBA).

I cannot figure why Herring has not been cut yet. He sure seemed like a no-brainer.

I'm interested in seeing Harper in Ryan's scheme. I'm not ready to give up on him yet. I could see Smith and Vilma being those designated cuts before Harper. No matter what happens, I'm excited to see what happens.
