Indeed. This part needs to be an obligatory consideration when posting about FAs. Not just the 2020 salary either, got to think about the new contracts that come due in 2021 and 2022.

I would be more of a fan of getting Joe Schobert (Browns)
He is an ILB. With the number of dime and nickel sets we run I think he is a better fit.

I think Littleton is over-rated considering who is in front of him. Being over-rated means he is gonna cost a pretty penny.

Littleton is 225 lbs. Klein has manned our SAM/MIKE spot ok. I think Davis is the only WILL backer that we need. We need to pair Davis with a bodyguard type. A bigger, stouter guy that can go take on that guard at the second level and allow Davis to use his athleticism. If i'm gonna replace Klein with an expensive backer it would be Jamie Collins.

Klein plays base Sam, and Sub Mike. Littleton if anything is going to be a Mike in some schemes or a Will so he wouldn't be a direct replacement for Klein.

That looks to be a much lower level unless I'm looking at the stats for the wrong Kevin Pierre-Louis

Well...the Saints at least look interested in upgrading the LB position. If they aren't able to get Littleton...they could very well draft one in the 1st round.
