The New Orleans Saints are moving quickly to replace the Dez Bryant-shaped hole in their receiving corps. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New Orleans is expected to contact Brandon Marshall, lately of the Seattle Seahawks, early next week about signing with the team.
The Saints liked what they saw from Marshall during a three-receiver workout they held last week, and were considering him as a depth option before Bryant’s untimely injury. The 34-year old would offer New Orleans plenty of experience, having logged 13 years in the NFL for six different teams. Marshall ranks 16th in receptions throughout the league’s history, trailing Hall of Famer Randy Moss by a dozen catches. ...
