After having an All-Pro season and signing a big new contract, Michael Thomas had no where to go but down off such a high in his career. That is, unless the New Orleans Saints won a Super Bowl.
It didn’t happen, and the injured wide receiver appears destined for surgery.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Thomas may need to address the issue through repair now that his season is over. A torn deltoid ligament and other ligament damage in the ankle would be addressed through a medical procedure if the 27-year old decides to go that route.
