I don't think they are going to trade him but if that's all they want someone will do it. I would rather see how the TH/JW plays out than trade 3 #1s.

it’s a simple question. Would you trade 3 1st round picks likely between pick 15 to Pick 25, knowing that every draft usually has 10-15 guys who are sure fire 1st rounders, and the 15th pick to the 50th pick are the next ranked group of guys.

Mike And many of the Draft Gurus say that about most drafts.

if you think of it this way, you do it all day long. The likely hood of getting even one player at Wilson’s level in that part of the draft is very unlikely.

now if I’m the Jets , no. Then your talking 3- top 10 picks, but eeven it’s Hill or Winston atQB we are probably a borderline playoff team or better. Russel Wilson makes us a top 5 team or better for the next 7-8 years if he stays healthy

The one thing the Saints CAN'T offer is a great chance to replace for Seattle to Wilson.

The one thing they COULD offer? As much as it would hurt? A dynamic running back and/or number-1 CB for a coach who badly wants to return to running the football and playing good defense.

In a hypothetical, crazy world where this goes down, I think that would be the only way we could entice Seattle over other teams.

I've altered my position as more info has come out. To be clear I don't think we can get him because we would have to give up a couple of players. If I'm Seattle I would want AK & Ram, plus a couple of 1st round picks. My original answer had nothing to do with the better QB just the cheaper cost. The reason I'm okay with JW or TH s because I do view the draft as a crap shoot at QB, while I have a decent idea of what we're getting with the guys who have been in the building (more so TH than JW because of the 4 starts).

Context? Was this between the Niners/Cowboys years?

1994. He was a free agent and watched a preseason game in a suite in the super dome. We offered 4 years and 17 million (which would have made him the second highest paid player in the league at the time). He turned it down and signed with the 49ers. Won a Super Bowl with them left and signed with the Cowboys and won another Super Bowl.

I’d much rather give up three 1st round picks vs players.

We are a great QB away from being in contention for another 5-6 years.

We used 2 firsts on Davenport.
