Might be reuniting with a slew of players

Ha. Just yesterday morning I told my dad that if we lose Kelemete, I bet we sign Bushrod again. Usually, if you're good enough to play tackle, you can slide inside and play guard. It's not as easy of a switch the other way around, which is why Peat is so important to keep healthy.

Yeah, with loss of Kelemete we need some depth. Bushrod was serviceable during his time here and I believe he has also played some OG since then, making him more flexible.

Last season, Bushrod moved from tackle to guard as he started 16 games for the Dolphins in 2016. According to Pro Football Focus, Bushrod allowed five sacks and 34 quarterback pressures last season. Although Bushrod’s play was inconsistent, he did improve as the year went on.

Resident Dolphins follower here again, haha.

Bushrod is a GREAT locker room guy and still has value as a backup. He was blamed for a lot of things that weren’t his fault down here. Let’s just say PFF didn’t exactly grade him properly this past season because of not knowing Bushrod’s assignments in the Fins scheme.

Would love to have him back in NO.

We lost Kelemente, needed someone to fill that role. This is a little weirder of a reunion than P-rob because Bushrod will be returning to be a backup/spot starter role.

Hmm so Tom and Bushrod are primary backups huh? Is Leribeus (idk how to spell his name) or Turner still there or do we still need depth at G. Well since Tom is C/G and Bushrod played G/T does that mean we roll with just those two plus our 5 or do we add another mid rounder?
I think we carried 8 olineman last year right?

I like this move. Knows our offense and schemes. He plugs in right away as a solid back-up and can contribute in many situations.

Not trying to disagree just to disagree, but I;m seeing this a lot with players coming back here but honestly our schemes have changed significantly since our SB year. I think we are familiar with the player, we have a need with Kelemente gone, and he will be pretty cheap.

I think he will be on the field pretty often for a backup and being a great locker room guy never hurts :9:

He’s been gone a while and haven’t we switched OL coaches sense? (I cant remember that time-frame). I’m sure there’s going to be an adjustment. But I still like the addition.
