It might be better to have a talented and coached-up rookie on a rookie contract, than a has-been who gets paid $8M/year for past accomplishments.

I don't see him as a solution either, just a name players on the decline and we'd be getting a player who is a shell of his former self wed minus well role with Robinson there.I realize CB is of concern, but Sherman isn’t the player he was 2-3 years ago. If he signed here, Saint fans won’t see the same guy that played lockdown CB in Seattle. Today’s WR’s are young, fast and play with a rules advantage.
Based on what? You may disagree with what he says, but he is extremely intelligentRichard Sherman is not near as smart as people think
Sherman wants to start, and he wants starter's money, both of which just became less likely with the Saints now that we've drafted Adebo.
That why u roll safety help to his side when press man on a fast WRI realize CB is of concern, but Sherman isn’t the player he was 2-3 years ago. If he signed here, Saint fans won’t see the same guy that played lockdown CB in Seattle. Today’s WR’s are young, fast and play with a rules advantage.
We only lost 1 starter in our secondary... Jackrabbit. Our defense was ranked #5 vs the pass.He is emotional which can come off as not smart. But he is plenty smart enough to know that we are not just one piece away in our secondary.
