wow. There are lots of ways you could argue who has done the most to make the game of golf what it is today but you pretty much can't have that argument without talking about him. Made the countries on both sides of the pond interested in what golfers were doing on the other side.
Ironically (before learning this news) I spent the day today playing golf with our club pro who told our foursome some stories about Arnold that he knew first hand about Mr Palmer back when he was on the tour. Hearing the news of his passing when I got home seemed surreal after listening to those experiences today.
