Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.

Damn, so much for seeing them live

I've seen Slayer live 6 different times with pretty much the identical set list each time. HOB in NO was an amazing venue for them! Gotta say I'm gonna miss Hanneman and King trading off. I'll never forget seeing them at an outdoor festival and moshing on GRAVEL. Whoever thought up that show logistically was insane.
