If Demarcus ware got 4 out of those 6 sacks, this doesn't make me feel much better....

Ware did indeed get 4 of the sacks:

2 vs. TB
0.5 at CAR
1.5 at ATL

Sean Lee (LB) got the INT vs. TB and Claiborne (CB) got the INT at CAR.

There are 7 sacks in all, and yes Ware got 4 of them. So what? I wasn't excited about the sack numbers anyway. I was more excited about the point totals. Holding Atlanta to one touchdown is huge. Holding Cam Newton and the Panthers to just 14 points is huge, considering the success that they had against us this past year.

The sack and turnover numbers weren't that gaudy, it certainly wasn't the point of my thread. Overall defensive success is. Sorry that you don't feel good about it, but it's definitely reassuring for me knowing that our new defensive coordinator is fresh off of having success against teams that we'll play 6 times a year.

Ah, the Saints aren't on our schedule this year, oddly enough..
