After two weeks of OTAs, only one thing has become clear in the critical battle for the New Orleans Saints' left tackle job. The competition is wide open.

Rookie Terron Armstead took his turn as the first-string left tackle during this whole week of practices after newly-signed free agent Jason Smith spent all of last week as the first-stringer.

Soon, fourth-year Saints veteran Charles Brown will probably get back in the mix as well. Brown returned to practice this week after suffering a minor injury in the weight room earlier this month.

Brown probably entered this offseason as the slight favorite to win the job, but even a minor injury could prove to be a major detriment for him after he's battled so many nagging injuries throughout his pro career.
