Ross Jackson’s biggest takeaways from Loomis, Moore and Ireland at the combine (127 Viewers)

I’ve said this before, but winning the division and making yourself a consistent playoff team is always the goal. Winning the Super Bowl is the DREAM, and this quote below is coming from a guy that just won a Super Bowl.

Don’t turn your nose up at a 10 win season, ever.
Way to take the initial comment out of context. I think the poster was referring to lower expectations since Payton left. You guys keep ignoring the overall get-by-mediocracy philosophy that Mick has embraced. That quote makes Moore look either delusional or a PR person. All Mick does is double down on the same bull jive.

It's crazy that some fans would rather lose than win with a player they are determined not to like.
I think a lot of people assume that if we get rid of Carr that we are on the path to finding a franchise QB, but it’s not that easy at all. You can stay in QB hell a really long time. You can invest top 5 pick in a QB and find out he’s a bust 2 years later. That’s 3 years down the drain, and probably enough to get a coach fired. Now you’re “rebuilding” again.

It’s fun to think about rebuilding, but it’s not a bad thing to have a bridge QB to give you some stability until you find a replacement.

You never leave QB hell until you start looking for a QB. You can't get a top tier QB in the draft without investing a high pick which we won't get finishing in the middle of the pack. Of course you can then trade up, but then that makes the fact that your team has drafted the least amount of players in the league over the last 5 years even worse. You can't get one in free agency unless you give out stupid contracts like the one they gave Carr. This team is setup to fail before they even try to look for a new QB.

Where did they say run it back?

We literally will not have 53 new players so it's going to be some version of running it back on the player side.

As for the coaches, they have nearly replaced the entire staff with the exception of some low level guys. This is the exact opposite of running it back.

The chicken little fans are back to their normal posting ways.

DC is far from the problem with this team, and I don’t dislike him at all. He’s just not the future imo. The team is lacking all over the field.

I’d just rather move forward with youth, also, in my 45 years of fandom I’ve never rooted against the team because of any player I didn’t like. That’s not even fathomable to me, any player who suits up for my lifelong favorite team has my full support while they’re in the black and gold.

You’re always looking for the next QB. To me that search has nothing to do with Carr. You can draft a QB outside of the top 5 and still find success… See Philadelphia and San Francisco. And just because you pick a QB in the top 5 doesn’t guarantee anything. See Indianapolis and Carolina.
