John Edwards hit the nail on the head. The war on terror has been reduced to a meaningless political slogan. The fear mongering/hand wringing for political gain has just been ridiculous and over the top, imo.

Giuliani began airing a few weeks ago. I laughed when I first saw it on TV.
Sounds like he got the Fox News announcer to do the commercial.

Also, notice the split second shot of the ruins of the World Trade Center? I guess he realized he has to back off of 9/11 or risk turning people off (they'll realize that he's pretty much an opportunist, using the tragedy as a political launching pad) but he's not beneath a little subliminal reminder.

To be honest, I'm probably more scared of Rudy than I am of the terrorists. Anyone who would run a campaign solely based on fear is very scary.

I thought it was rather good. But that's just me.
The ad doesn't cover one issue, doesn't hit one point, has zero facts and is 100% created to get an emotional response. The ad should be an insult to the intelligence of the people watching it, the only problem is the intelligence of the average person watching it is the insult.

Name one issue that the ad covers. It is 100% fear mongering and Rudy trying to use 9/11 to get him elected.

I thought for sure it was a parody ad and I immediately thought of http://rudygiulianiforum.com/index.php.

I can't view it right now but if Edwards doesn't like it that to me is a good thing. I was totally against Rudy at first but at this point it is my goal to learn more about him. A few I work with like him alot based on what he did for NY City. Simple question was posed to me - before Rudy who would go or take their kids to NYC...after Rudy you would.

So at the very least I want to find out more about him.

Personally I don't think people fear enough what could happen.

I fear what could happen, a lot. It's very frightening. A nuclear device or a chemical or biological weapon would be our nation's worst nightmare. I won't, however, be frightened into voting for someone because they show a bunch of Muslims with weapons.

They all have to have an angle...this just happens to be his. I would offer that his is more accurate/relevant than some of the other stuff I see coming from the candiates.

haha his scare tactics is more accurate and relevant? What a laugh...you can't be serious? How does attempting to scare people into voting have anything to do with anything? He doesn't even say what he'll do to help us from the things he's posting the video about.

I can't view it right now so I may have jumped the gun abit but I guarantee what he is saying is just as if not more relevant than what the others are promising. Mitt will save the south with federal dollars after he first saves MI with the same dollars. McCain will be in Iraq for a hundred more years. Hicabee well he is so slimy whos knows about him. He wont run a negative ad just ask him to show you. Thompson? Hmm...he is just out having fun right.

They are all highly trained assasins who can change on a dime to either be noticed or go unnoticed. Be surprised at nothing...

Actually, I'm pretty sure the absolute worst that could happen is we die, which is going to happen sooner or later anyway. I want the president in office that will most improve my time alive (i.e. improving the economy and reducing security checks in airports). Who will do that?
