First it was baseball streamlining the intentional walk, and now the USGA has brought out the most widespread reforms to the Rules of Golf since they were first written down in 1744. Faster play! Drops from 1 inch above the ground! Fewer penalties for accidental ball movements! No more penalty for hitting the flagstick on a putt!

Sensible change, or another symptom of Americans wanting it too easy? :ezbill:

Sensible changes, almost all of them.

Nothing about golf will be easier because of these rule changes, I assure you.

Sniper in a tree on every hole. If you don't make par or lower you lose. Forever.

Well, you'd certainly see more guys willing to bring their wives out there on Sunday afternoon.
