I just read this on another site:

Just read that Moss re-signed with the Pats. 5 years, $52 million, with $25 mil guaranteed.

The guy is a regular poster there and probably not making it up, but he doesn't say where he heard it.

He'll be mentally challenged not to resign with them. They'll be mentally challenged not to do everything to keep him.

not really, he could go to a number of other franchises and still have a shot at a superbowl. the pats need him more than he needs them.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Patriots are close to re-signing free agent Randy Moss.

Schefter says the Patriots have a "standing multi-year offer to make Moss one of the highest paid receivers in the NFL." Moss is perhaps realizing the market for him isn't as strong as believed, although we wouldn't count out another team like the Rams, Redskins, or Eagles making a last minute run at him. if the above is true, idk why he wouldnt jump at that offer.

highest paid WR in the league, and its with a sb contending team...puzzling.

If true, Wes Welker will have another good season unless they have him as the 2nd WR.

Not true. They resigned Kelly Washington, and he is very ready to break out and make a name for himself in the NFL. He overcame injuries and sitting behind Chad Johnson and Henry and Housmanzadah, only to sign with New England shortly before the sign Welker, Stallworth and Moss, all in the same offseason. Washington is ready. Wait and see.

Not totally official, but close... from rotoworld.com

NBCSports.com's Tom Curran has confirmed that Randy Moss has agreed to a three-year, $27 million to remain a Patriot.

It's uncertain if Moss' efforts to get other teams involved helped, but he's only making $1.33 million-per-year more than Bernard Berrian. His guaranteed money was increased. Moss and Tom Brady can't expect to set records again in 2008, but they are slight favorites to remain atop their positions in fantasy leagues while playing together.

Sirius and ESPN are both reporting it as "being finalized".

It's on NFL Network right now... "Moss reaches agreement with Pats"... per Adam.
