I did, in a VM. It's quite nice. I will probably give it a whirl next time I install.

Did you use KDE for your desktop? I've been looking on their website for a way to install gnome as the default. Just my own preference, but I like gnome much better. I'm starting to think I'll have to do the regular install with KDE, then emerge gnome.

Figured it out. I'd downloaded the Professional version which didn't offer gnome. This morning I grabbed the 3.4f version which does.

Quick question about this. I like the regular Gnome setup like with Ubuntu, but this has that odd one (slab?) where the menu is on the bottom, like Suse has. When I log in as root, I get the regular, Ubuntu type menu, but not as my regular login. How do I make my regular login use the normal Gnome menu setup?

If any of that makes any sense.
