Marcus Williams made it clear that he wasn’t interested in talking about the past.
There would be no comments about how last season ended, with Williams missing a tackle on Stefon Diggs’ 61-yard touchdown in the playoffs. And he wasn’t interested in giving an autopsy about the days that followed and what his recovery process was like the last few months.
“I don’t really think about that,” the Saints safety said during the #DoRight4LA campaign at the NFL YET Center. “But I’m doing good; the family’s doing good. There’s nothing really major going on in my life that’s changing except for me helping these kids.”
Williams was asked several different ways about that moment but wouldn’t bite. He did, however, let it be known that no one single moment – whether it be that play or something else – will ever define who is as a person or football player.
