Exactly. Those 3rd down penalties granting teams first downs are maddeningThis is the biggest reason in why we aren't blowing out teams. Flags on every ST play, on too many third downs in passing situations, and too many personal fouls.
Absolutely. And what's the point in having the best return man in the NFL (according to our coaches) if they aren't gonna coach our STs out of nullifying every good return he had with a block in the back. It's really not THAT hard...Exactly. Those 3rd down penalties granting teams first downs are maddening
It’s the dumbest penalty in football. They should really remove it from the game.hands to the face. ugh
Almost every time we've had a big return, we get called for a block in the back or an illegal block of some kind. It's become a joke. The other teams apparently never do this when they play us. Same thing with intentional grounding. Brees gets called for it, but how many times have we seen another QB do it in games against us but not get called. The officiating was better last night than in the first Atlanta game b/c at least we didn't have the phantom hands to the face calls or holding calls almost every drive, but I still think the refs are being extra critical with us and looking for things to call.
