For those curious about where we are financially

well thats good news, now stupid question time how does that affect us in regards to the draft and bringing in udfa talent ? can that 3.3 be used for the udfa ?

We'll need around 2-3M for rookies.. any rookies after the 3rd or 4th round won't even count against the cap. it's just the top 51 salaries.
 
Teams need about $4mm to sign the draft class...

But, once we sign DLP and make a decision on Ivory, that will free up some money...

spotrac puts us at about 4.7 million if you consider Ben Watson's contract terms.

not sure how they came up with only 3.3 million
 
It would also help if Harper would take a paycut and Drew did a Tom Brady like extension to save some cap space.

Mickey Loomis even stated that restructuring Drew's deal can put us in more cap trouble in later years so I highly doubt that happens

Possibly spotrac is not taking into account "likely to be earned" contract bonus's.

Does this take into account the $2.7 million rollover from 2012?

I'm sure it does.
 
On top of that we could possibly trade back further into rd 1 and reduce are number even more.
