Saints activate Washington off COVID reserve; Thomas DNP (1 Viewer)

The New Orleans Saints on Thursday activated running back/special teams player Dwayne Washington off the COVID-19 reserve list after 18 days.

Standout wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) did not practice Thursday and is likely to miss the team’s Week 2 game against the Las Vegas Raiders and reportedly could miss more time.

Defensive end Marcus Davenport (elbow) did not practice and center Cesar Ruiz (ankle) was limited Thursday. Both players missed Week 1.

Washington missed the rest of camp and the Saints’ Week 1 game after being put on the reserve list. While the team did not reveal whether Washington contracted the coronavirus, the 18-day absence intimates the 26-year-old had it. ...
