Former Ole Miss coach accepts position to tutor defensive line

MOBILE, ALA. -- Ed Orgeron has always been known as an enthusiastic, high-energy coach. But he became especially animated Tuesday when someone asked him if he grew up rooting for the Saints.
"Always. Always. Yes. There's no doubt," said the Saints' new defensive line coach, who grew up in Larose. "I remember the first Saints game. I think it will be a tremendous feeling to coach in the Dome."
Orgeron, 46, was hired this week after spending the past three seasons as Ole Miss' head coach. He'll replace former Saints defensive line coach Marion Hobby, who left earlier in the month to become defensive coordinator at Duke.
