Currently at #9. I think we lose at least 2-3 more games. I think 6-11 would result in a top 10 pick. So many needs. Old roster. No cap room. Need a HC and GM.

Positions to fill....WR, OL, DL, QB, Edge.

Yeah, Rizz has them playing but we just don’t have the guns at so many positions….we should probably finish with a top ten pick who we could use to move up with the Commanders picks higher. Losing Taysom just gutted the team I’m sure.

Cap room will never be a factor in adding players.
The FO always sign the players that they want,
no matter the cost or cap implications.

Extending players and signing UFAs to big contracts is how the team’s cap got into the predictament it’s in. Bottom line is the Saints need to primarily draft more impact players soon to improve the team.
Relying on signing free agents isn’t moving the needle.

The more you think about it….how close are the Saints going to be to drafting a future starting hopefully franchise QB. I’m starting to fall into that mindset of trading up to grab that future QB. Do the Giants go with Sanders or Cam!? Hopefully Sanders and we move up for Cam…I mean it’s an option or do we stay in 7-10 land forever!?!? Sometimes you have to take the chance and move up.

16/32 to start the season. That's not old, that right in the middle being skewed by a few older players. The rest of the roster is young.

Rizzi will be here for 2025, and we’ll get some of the salary cap issues behind us.
Then we’ll get a new head coach with his own staff for 2026.
He’ll take a year to start building his team.
In year two he will put everything together and get us to start playing like real contenders.

No telling how much better Sean Payton’s Broncos will be by that time.

Like the idea but I’d rather we lose enough to already be up there, instead of moving up.

I have no doubt tho that Mickey will sell the farm to move up if that is needed.
