It’s possible that Taysom, Olave and Shaheed are done. I hope not, but it’s at least possible. With our OL needs we may need to trade down and get more picks.

I wish somebody could run the average age of each team not counting QBs. QBs age better than everybody else except maybe kickers. I suspect we are toward the high end of that stat. But how many are legit starters? I don’t see many. Bad drafts and letting players walk has got us here and the only way out is by the draft, if someone could just make good picks!!!!!

The off-season has already started after yesterday’s game.Yeah, brutal season. Top 10 pick is about right, sadly. QB is the biggest need, but fixing the O-line is crucial too. Gonna be a long off-season.
The problem is that our best players our old. We have a lot of young knock around guys but the core group is long in the tooth. The old roster narrative is false.
16/32 to start the season. That's not old, that right in the middle being skewed by a few older players. The rest of the roster is young.
Saints need another big time linemen.
Need to not be players in free agency
Need to unload in the off-season.
It's time to suck for Manning.. and have him come in with an Oline that he can grow with.
it's a no brainer and a decade plus of winning football again. He's got lots of uncle input and potentially they may even QB coach OC for him who knows.
Sentiment is understood, with the feeling that getting too close to .500 means a worse draft position. But I don't really see a world where we're better than 6-11 this year when it's all said and done. Difference between 6 and 7 might be how motivated the Bucs are in that last one. Right now, I see us beating only the Giants and Raiders and losing the rest. The good teams left on the schedule -- specifically, the ones who have a decided advantage at the QB position -- have far too much stake left in 2024 to lose to us. One would think, anyway. The problem is that our best players our old. We have a lot of young knock around guys but the core group is long in the tooth.
For years the Saints have found a way to scratch and claw their way out of blue chip range. Once the season is over they will catch fire and end up in the teens. Personally from here on the Ls are actually Ws. Not a popular opinion, I get it but this roster needs so many dudes. The higher we draft the better positioned we'll be in each round. Drafting in the teens does nothing but keep us in this limbo of fighting for 7-9 wins each year.
Cap room will never be a factor in adding players.
The FO always sign the players that they want,
no matter the cost or cap implications.
Extending players and signing UFAs to big contracts is how the team’s cap got into the predictament it’s in. Bottom line is the Saints need to primarily draft more impact players soon to improve the team.
Relying on signing free agents isn’t moving the needle.
I agree, but we missed the window on so many of them. Nobody is going to trade for damaged goods. Cam and DD are the only veterans you might be able to trade.Even if they were to come back, it’s time to trade back and stock pile picks
