It’s far from ideal that the New Orleans Saints didn’t ink a long-term contract extension with Marcus Williams. They’ve got to wait until the 2021 season is in the books to return to the negotiating table, and in the meantime his salary cap hit tops the list. These are disappointing circumstances, and it’s something the Saints haven’t experienced under the Sean Payton-Mickey Loomis brain trust.
