Saints at the top of Davante Adams’ wish list [Raiders trade Adams to Jets for conditional 3rd ; Jets paying Adams’ entire remaining salary] (5 Viewers)

How about accuracy, do we know that comparison?

Jamarcus Russell could throw the ball 70 yards from both knees on the ground.

Brock Purdy doesn't have the strongest arm but he's purdy darn accurate.

Accuracy>Arm Talent
He said “upside.”

Everything about Rattler presents more upside than Haener. Also, there’s no evidence of Haener being appreciably more accurate than Rattler.

sounds like they've made up and the trade is off ?
It’s business as usual for the coach at the podium. Adams is on the Raiders roster. I wouldn’t expect Pierce to say anything that makes him or Adams look problematic. Or anything that impacts trade value.

Yep. The curious thing is Adams having veto power if the teams convert salary to bonus. Adams has leverage in terms of where the Raiders want to trade him. And the would be suitors would have to make cap moves in order to acquire him.

Clearly the Raiders are gonna have to concede quite a bit to get him traded. I wouldn't break the bank to try and acquire him. I'm still interested, but for a price.

I'm beating it's more along the lines that Saints and Raiders are already ready for trade.. and it's more contractual money based.. imo.

I can’t get the video to play for some reason, but is this from AFTER Carr has left? Of course he will have changed his tune after the fact.
For every obscure reference you have to dig hard to find about him going to Vegas for reasons outside of Carr, 20 can be cited saying the opposite. I honestly can’t believe this is even being debated by anyone. 😂
You are right this video was done in July of 24 WAY after DC left

Hard disagree, WR is a need but no more important than the other needs on both lines….it seems no teams are willing to give up a 2nd round pick for an expensive 32 year old WR which makes total sense to me. I’ve never in my entire life heard that the difference between a 2nd and 3rd round pick is “very little”…..so A for originality on that one…..
1st Adams is 31. If we get Adams for a 2nd and we make the playoffs that 2 will be in the low 20's not a great deal difference than a high 3. You still faiol to acknowledge that AK, Demario , HB , Taysom , Lattimore and maybe DC have a 2-3 yr window. If we get Adams for those 2-3 yrs it give us a way better chance of making a SB than a 2nd rd pick in the low 20's or even the mid 20's . You also keep harping on Adams age. Maybe you don't know much about his game. He does not completely rely on speed which is what starts to go on a WR when they get older. He's one of the best route runners in the league and knows how to get open AND make the contested catch , which IS a perfect fit for our O.
NO one is saying we don't need OL and pass rusher help, but even if we were to give up that low 2nd we still have a 1 and a 3 to use to address those issues

We owe it to them to not waste the 1-3 years they have left in the league. We cannot trade them due to the dead cap hits, so we are better off as a team and for them to do everything possible to try to compete. Also I feel like y’all are not taking into account how much a WR like Adams takes pressure off the QB and O-line. Being able to make tough catches over the middle on quick routes takes pressure off everyone.

You burn it to see if you can make one final effort to give the fans and players a chance to compete before saying it’s time to start a rebuild. Now the rebuild may not be a bad rebuild depending on how well Spence plays, then you just need to nail the coaching staff. We have young talent in alot of areas, the biggest hurdle would be clearing the cap sheets and getting into the positive.

My idea of it is if it doesn’t work HB, Davis and Cam likely decide to retire. Kamara will probably decide he would prefer a change of scenery, so we would have a bunch of dead cap money we would be navigating.

If it does work and we make the playoffs and win a game or two, then absolutely keep Adams and Kamara and go for it for another season.
Cam may retire but I see DD and HB playing 2 more yrs

No, that's the point. What they are asking for I'm not interested in paying. I think this is a pointless trade that sets the team back long term. Some of you are holding onto hope for this season despite the fact that half of our starting offense is injured. I know guys are going to come back, but the slide has already begun. Even when they come back, it's going to be shaky for a while. If they get desperate to move him and want to make concessions then a 4th and they eat the money is what I think it's worth for a rental.
Most of our guys will be back after the thurs night game If we can win just 1 of the next 2 we'll be 3-5 , 4-4 would be great but then we'd going into the easier part of our sched. With 9 games left a mostly health team AND Adams I see us being much more closer to the team that played the 1st 2 games of the yr. Winning 7 of the last 9 is not out of the question, plus 3 of those games are against division opponents. 10-7 probably wins us the division or at least the way the NFC is gets us in the playoffs. Then who knows

Those guys are not like Drew Brees. They are not guys you sell your future to give one last shot at a title for, especially with the team in it's current state. They are nice pieces that have played well and been great team guys, but none are once in a generation players that you sell the farm for.

And you're right, I'm not taking into account that Adams will take pressure off the OL and QB because I don't think he will. We aren't even throwing over the middle unless it's deep because the line is beat right at the snap. Most of our passes are going to the outside again, just like last year. Once McCoy went down the offense folded and unless Adams is a better center than what we have, he's not doing anything over the middle.
But yet even with 2 starters on the OL going down we still had the lead in both games wit 2 mins left. And we were able to run the ball on ATL . If it were not for i fluke pick 6 and a bonehead move by Shaheed the ATL game would not even have been close. Of course Adams takes pressure off of the QB because he gets open and makes the contested catch along with the chemistry he has with DC
Brees's arm was going in the last 3yrs or so but we continued to have the all in mentality. With all the players I mentioned as having a 2-3 yr window all the more reason to get Adams rather to waste those 2-3 yrs of those players just to save a low 2nd or 3rd rd pick

Check the date on the vid. Way after DC left LV . . In EVERY report at the time of him signing he gave his main reason to going to LV was DC
The date is irrelevant. The man HIMSELF is telling you why.

You are more invested to your narrative than the truth. If Devante Adams himself telling you won't change your mind nothing will.

We just agree to disagree and that's it.
