Yeah the contract was horrible overall, but for half of that to be guaranteed. Yikes. His agent is really good.

What u mean, they are popular guys, cherilus was very good for the lions this year, walden isnt he the guy who beat up his girlfriend who plays for the packers? And I like Toler a lot, he did a decent job for the cardinals.

You could argue that all 3 of these guys are not even starter worthy. Honestly.

The assessment isn't necessarily about whether they are that poor quality of player but that they were extremely overpaid.

You see a contract in there you like?

Cherilus is 4-5 million range, the other 2 guys are in the 2-3 million range.

I kinda like the cherilus and toler signings (too much money, and toler is really an incognito with all his health problems, but still). but i can't imagine WHY they would give any buck to the worst 3-4 lb of the entire league in the last couple of years. Seriously.

Cherilus was a first round pick by the Lions actually...cant really comment on his play I guess he's been avg to above avg but not a homerun of a pick like they may have wanted when they picked him

Just even look at the dolphins. I am not sure if I will be paying that much for a receiver, specially considering the quarterback. Ellerbee is a great player, but not for that money. Same for Philip Wheeler. Those numbers are just nuts!

Also I don't think linebacker was the problem with the dolphins. We will see how it goes next season.
