Trojans' LB among several players that could help defense

INDIANAPOLIS -- Most people who try to guess what's going to happen in the NFL draft are just throwing darts. But there's a good reason so many early projections keep penciling Southern Cal linebacker Keith Rivers into the Saints' No. 10 slot.
The 6-foot, 241-pound outside linebacker seems like an ideal fit for New Orleans. He is exactly the kind of dynamic, athletic playmaker they've been lacking for years in the middle of their defense. And he is best suited to play weakside linebacker in a 4-3 system, which also suits the Saints.
"He's a really competitive kid. He showed that at the Senior Bowl and he showed that at SC," said Rick Mueller, the Saints' vice president of player personnel. "We've spent some time with him. He's a great kid. He's got really good intangibles. And (Saints defensive line coach) Ed Orgeron was around him a little bit at SC, too, so that helps a little bit. We've got a little inside information there." Full Story – Picayunehttp://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index.ssf?/base/sports-4/120383422513170.xml&coll=1
