The same narrative for the New Orleans Saints defense followed the unit to the Houston Texans' practice facility Thursday morning. The storyline continues to be how the first-teamers maintained their improved play.

I'm leery to say the performance by the defense is becoming more than simply a trend. We've seen the Saints practice against themselves, a couple of times against the Patriots, a preseason game in New England and now one session in Houston.

There have been no real opportunities to ever say, "Welp, same old defense."

Quite the contrary, actually
