Since Foles took over the Bears are dead last in the NFL in offense. I like Foles personally, but yanking Mitch when they were WINNING GAMES and benching him is absurd and is stunting his development as a player. That move never made sense to me.

If there was ever a big bounceback game for our defense, this should be it.

The rookie WR Mooney from Tulane can fly. Foles missed him 2-3 times last night. I expect him to be behind our secondary all day.

He missed Mooney deep so many times tonight. You just know they’re gonna hit one against the Saints

But you also know he’s gonna hit one FOR the Saints too, like right in the bread basket of CGJ, MW, or MJ.

No sense in our pass defense stinking up the joint again.

Only Darnold, Newton, Jones and Wentz have been worse this season.

diff tween game last night and next Sunday - Rams have a Redzone D, Saints do not.

So the Bears don't run the ball well, Montgomery has only averaged 3.7 yards for his career so far.

We stop the run.

So this should be a ton of 2nd/3rd and long situations.

Just get off the field.

Bears defense now 8th in scoring, so definitely upper tier.

Interestingly the Saints give up less yards per game but we give up 9 more ppg (20 vs 29).

29 ppg on only 328 yards per game given up is really unheard of. I've never seen anything like it.

Our defense is ultimately an enigma.

enigma - another word for dysfunctional

And... assuming I'm understanding quite a few posts on Defense Yards, it does not take into account the PENALTY YARDS!

Throw that in and it makes perfect sense.

you cant say the Bears offense is bad
they put up 20 points against a Buccs D… which equates to around 40-50 points against our D.

I mean seriously having Foles destroyed by Donald doesnt really say anything about our game.
Expect the Bears to feast! While their D forces us to kick FGs instead of getting TDs

We will have to fight through every game… its a constant battle

With a d-line that hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in about 3 years, a pass rush that at least ranks above average, there's just no more excuses to be made for our secondary's pitiful performance. They desperately need a come to life game.
