Defensive end Cameron Jordan suffered an MCL sprain against the New York Giants, a Sports Illustrated article on players dealing with pain, and continued playing with it.
Jordan confirmed the injury on Monday.
"Yeah, that was early on this season, eight, nine weeks ago, something like that," Jordan said. "It was a Grade 1 or whatever it was. Those are things you have to deal with."
Jordan, who has never missed a game in six seasons in the NFL, played every snap on defense against the Atlanta Falcons the week after suffering the injury.
Despite the injury, Jordan has still played 90.8 percent of the snaps for the Saints this season, one of the highest workloads in the league. Playing through pain in the NFL is obviously common; Jordan revealed that rookie defensive lineman David Onyemata has also been playing through an MCL sprain.
