He doesn't have a Drew Brees jersey.
Not yet, anyway.
But David Thiele does own two things.
The most famous bottom lip in town, thanks to the Saints' quarterback.
And a special autograph: "David, who Dat? No. 9. Drew Brees."
David Thiele is the waiter who served Drew and Brittany Brees last week at Zea Rotisserie & Brewery, a restaurant in the Clearview Shopping Center.
An ordinary lunch became a topic of conversation when the quarterback tossed out a playoff-week story regarding his ever-evolving wonderment of Saints fans.
"The waiter came over and said, 'Man, I'm a diehard Saints fan,' " Brees said. "And I said, 'I've heard that a lot.' And he said, 'No, check this out.'
"He pulled his lip down, and he had a tattoo of a fleur de lis on the inside of his lip. Then I believed he was truly a diehard fan, because I don't know how many people would do that."
