When you and your family grow up Saints fans, getting to play in Black and Gold is a dream come true. For Mobile’s Taylor Stallworth, it is getting really real.

Saints rookie defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth is living the dream. From growing up in Mobile, Alabama with a family full of Who Dats, himself a Saints fan, he’s now getting his shot to hit the big time wearing the Black and Gold.

Full disclosure, and as many Who Dat Dish readers know, I’m a Mobile product myself. Mobile is something of a sister city to New Orleans. They share the same cultural roots, food, Mardi Gras and the French heritage dating back to the very early 1700s.

It’s been said that Mobile produces a disproportionate number of professional athletes. In baseball, certainly, there’s been Hank Aaron, Willie McCovey, Satchel Paige, Otis Smith and Jake Peavey. There’s been former New Orleans Pelican, now public enemy number one in the Big Easy, Demarcus Cousins. ...
