I know for a fact we were smoked in 2007 by Indy and Tenn., but not sure you're counting '07.

Unfortunately we lost to the Cowboys last season (NFL Network)..Gotta say that it is mighty impressive though.

I think 07 and 08 were sort of different teams because there was little or no defense in addition to ridiculous kicking woes.

The 08 prime time game against the Vikings kind of stands out as the epitome of the Saints woes in 07 and 08. Woeful secondary play (do I recall correctly that a safety being out of position and coming over late led to a touchdown and an injury to Tracy Porter?), pass interference, blocked FG = 10 point swing -- despite occasional brilliance, such as Bush's 2 (almost 3) punt return TDs.

Big time players, make big time plays, in big time games....this is the stage on which this team has recently shown it excels in....let's get that 4 win streak going against this cowardly team who gave up on it's self and it's coach.....

nfl network not nationally televised i only counted the last 9 the next one was the loss to the vikings where reggie returned 2 punts

NFLN Thursday Night games are considered national games. They're shown in every market practicality, if you have the channel.

And as others have said, we lost to indy(07 iirc), cowgirls (09), and vikings(PR game) all on national TV. We just haven't lost recently in prime time, which is a good thing.

There's a clear difference between a nationally televised game on a broadcast network and one on NFL Network. The NFL channel is cable/satellite only, while broadcast can be picked up with rabbit ears. They're not the same market size.

Bottom line, whether or not you consider NFL Network games national or not, the Saints have stepped up big time in the national spotlight as of late and this year will conclude on February 6th with yet another prime time win. :hihi:

If your useing that as a criteria for "national" games then the Monday night games are not national either since they are on ESPN and you have to have cable or satellite to receive it.

Using that logic, games on ESPN are not nationally televised either because not everyone has cable. I get your point, but NFL channel games are nationally televised because it is available to anyone who has the channel--nationally.

Also, players will deny it enters their thinking, but the fact that Dallas ended the win streak last season will make for a revenge game by the Saints. I would LOVE to see them put Dallas back in its place--and make the talking heads shut up about their two-game "resurgence" against a "not-as-good-as-advertised" divisional opponent in the Giants and the Detroit Lions, for Pete's sake. To listen on the radio and TV, you'd think they'd beaten teams like the Patriots or Saints.

If you add in the last two games of 2007 then it's 11 in a row (Falcons on MNF and Seahawks on SNF)

heck, technically the Chargers game this pre-season was nationally televised too. :)

EDIT: Nevermind, forgot about that darned Vikings MNF game in 2008.
