Oh my at those numbers for Cle and SF! Those are just the carryover numbers? 50 and 40 million respectively... Dear lord, what are their total cap numbers?

Pumped for that extra 5 million. I hope we address positions of need (CB, DE, OG, LB) in both draft and FA. It seems like a lot of years past we have done one or the other. But, last year we did both by getting a FA DT in Fairly and also drafting Rankins. That worked out great, so keep doing that.

And what a coincidence that they finished in the bottom of the league...

I thought there was a minimum you had to spend on the cap each year, would these two teams not be in violation of that?

But these teams with 40 mil plus will drive up the FA market will they not?

Jokes on them, we had a $5m carryover and had the 11th worst record.

I see what you did. The difference is we have a QB.

$32M sounds like a lot but that puts us in the bottom half of the league going into FA. However, it's a lot better than last year's situation.

Compare any team to NE, who is one win away from another SB and will be in the top 5 for cap space. That organization is solid from top to bottom.

Browns and 9ers both will go hard after QBs, no?
after that what other positions are they really going to thrown money at?

Yeah qbs but really any worth any big money my guess would be oline and d line aswell

Not really. The minimum spending requirement is calculated completely different. It is based on actual cash paid out to the players and is calculated on a 4 year period. This year was the last year of the first 4 year period. The league will add up the max cap for those years (it is $554.55mil), Add up the amount of cash paid out to players during the period for each team. Divide the paid amount by the total cap figure to get a percentage. That has to be at least 90%.
