Article Saints happy with Erik McCoy's progress, eager to test him further (1 Viewer)

If Terron can get and stay healthy along with Peat then our line is solidified for several years.

IIRC, Armstead was hurt early on in 2017. Then, Peat was coming off an injury, started out slowly in 2018.

For now, both seem to be fully healthy going into this year’s TC! So that’s a good start!

However, as far as I know, Larry Watford is recovering from an injury, and did not participate during minicamp. So I’m a lil concerned there. The good news is that SP said he expects him to be back “ sooner than later”, so hopefully, he’ll be good to go come TC. Meanwhile, newly signed Nick Easton has been in for him with the 1s. So it may jus be part resting Warford n part getting Easton some quality reps before the start of TC.

But it’s something to keep an eye on.

Erik McCoy winning the starting Center job would/will be very good news for the Saints offense. However, it is not the most important thing for the Saints’ O-line. The most important thing is the health of everyone else. The Saints have very good depth at Center, with McCoy, Eason, Tom, and Clapp all capable of playing the spot.
Depth at OT is much thinner, and behind Peat and Warford, there is a bigger drop off as well.
